The match between Thai Nguyen T&T and Phong Phu Ha Nam greatly affected the championship race. The importance of the match made coach Tran Le Thuy more cautious. She asked her players to play with concentration and they showed effectiveness. In the 40th minute, Ngan Thi Thanh Hieu shot dangerously from a distance, Thai Nguyen T&T goalkeeper could not catch the ball and Hoang Van rushed in to cushion the ball close to the goal, breaking the deadlock for Phong Phu Ha Nam.
This was also the only goal of the match. Phong Phu Ha Nam won 3 points and maintained the top position after the first leg.
