Building 'Great Unity' houses helps poor families in Ha Tay commune stabilize their lives

Hai Phong City Party Committee Deputy Secretary Pham Van Lap attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a 'Great Unity' house for a family in difficult circumstances in Ha Tay commune.

Comrade Pham Van Lap, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City and delegates and families started building the "Great Unity" house.

On the morning of October 24, comrade Pham Van Lap, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong city attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a "Great Unity" house for the family of Mr. Le Van Dac, born in 1955 in Song Dong village, Ha Tay commune.

Mr. Le Van Dac and his wife are in poor health and enjoy policies for the disabled. The level 4 house where Mr. Dac's family lives was built more than 40 years ago and is now in disrepair. The area for building the new house is 35 square ^meters with a total cost of more than 100 million VND. Of which, the City's "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Committee supported 100 million VND. The remaining funding was supported by relatives, benefactors and mobilized additional working days and manpower from people in the village and neighborhood to help.

The house is expected to be completed and handed over in November, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025).

Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Pham Van Lap presented funds to support poor families and dilapidated houses in Ha Tay and Thanh Ha communes.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the "Great Unity" house, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Pham Van Lap affirmed that supporting the house construction is a meaningful and humane activity, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and affection of the Party Committee, government and people of the city; at the same time, he acknowledged the support of businesses and people in the village and hamlet to build a new house for Mr. Dac's family.

The Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee requested the government and people to build the project to ensure quality, safety, and completion on schedule, helping Mr. Dac's family to soon stabilize and improve their lives...

On this occasion, the city's "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Committee supported 600 million VND to start building 6 new houses for 6 families in difficult circumstances and other degraded housing in Ha Tay and Thanh Ha communes.
