People's Artist Thu Hien trembled as she held the mic and shared that the MV by her student Bich Hong evoked many childhood memories in her. Her childhood was filled with pure, peaceful days in the countryside of Thai Binh . She herself used to be a Tuong actress, so watching the MV, she felt that she had many similarities with the main female character in the song. She also felt proud that the young generation like Bich Hong can do more than the previous generation. Each product is creative and new, rich in artistic quality.

People's Artist Quoc Hung also expressed: "The entire MV "The Child of the River" is like a package of my childhood there. My house is also on the riverside, every time the village has a Tuong or Cheo troupe coming back... the whole village comes out very early, if they don't bring mats, they arrange bricks, cook rice early to get a place. The emotional writing, emotional arrangement, plus a very emotional voice have created a very emotional and wonderful MV."
Song The Son of the River is a new composition by musician Xuan Tri dedicated to Bich Hong. As soon as she held the song in her hand in 2019, she was very moved because the lyrics matched her mood - a person who loves Hanoi passionately, attached to the Red River throughout her childhood and adulthood. Moreover, the song also encapsulates the hidden meaning of the name "Hong" in it. "My feelings at that time were very special, the song is so meaningful to me. I have sung many compositions by musician Xuan Tri but those compositions have been performed by many people. This is the composition he dedicated to me", Bich Hong said.

Bich Hong ordered director Tran Xuan Chung to make the MV for this song in 2020. But perhaps there are few MVs that have been made as difficult as "Nguoi con cua dong song". Every time the setting was chosen and they were about to film, it started to rain and storm. The director called Bich Hong and complained that "third time is the charm" and said that if they continued to postpone, he would stop the project because the cost of each set-up was too high.
Meanwhile, Bich Hong herself also felt that if she postponed this time, she would be discouraged and not want to continue working. Therefore, in the end, the whole crew decided to continue filming regardless of the storm. The parts that got wet from the rain were filmed indoors first. When filming was finished, everyone breathed a sigh of relief, the director even jokingly called this a "stormy song", just like the Red River, which looks calm but underneath the riverbed are countless rolling waves.

The MV "The Child of the River" tells the story of a beautiful childhood friendship. The girl is the daughter of a family that performs opera along the river. Her family sails along the Red River all year round to perform in the villages of the North. The boy, like many other children in the area, is excited and joyful every day the opera troupe arrives. The whole village is unusually happy and bustling every time they welcome the opera troupe. The children cheer loudly as soon as they see the boat looming in the distance.
Every time, when the children ran to welcome the opera troupe, the boy was always the one who ran to invite the little girl to run up to the dike to play with the children. The little girl seemed to have become a part of the life of this place. On the days when the opera troupe left, the children chattered and took the girl to the riverbank and kept running after her until the boat disappeared. One time before the troupe left, the boy ran to give her a ceramic opera mask that he had made himself. That mask was like a token, carrying with it the lingering memories of a pure childhood love.

20 years later, the familiar boat from that day loomed in the distance. The boy from that day was now a grown man. Hearing the children cheering in the distance, he knew the girl had returned. He rushed to the boat dock to pick her up. Both of them were now shy and embarrassed. 20 years later, life was no longer as bustling as before when the troupe came. The night of the performance was very quiet because of the times, people were no longer interested in the troupe from that year, only a few people came to watch.
The play ended early, leaving only the young man still following every gesture and gaze of the girl on stage. Knowing that the girl was sad, the young man secretly disguised himself as a real Tuong actor as he had seen from the old artist years ago and practiced Tuong movements with her enthusiastically. A pure and innocent feeling and love for a traditional art form like the bright moon in the quiet night, in dreamy frames by the river.

However, the girl did not stay by the river, the boy saw her off as usual, as he had done for many years. The girl gave him back the ceramic mask that she always carried with her, which she had completed with her drawings to become vivid. Each drawing contained the girl's love and nostalgia for her initial feelings at the riverbank. The story did not leave the viewer with a sad ending, but a sweet aftertaste of beautiful memories of first emotions.
The MV "The Child of the River" is a beautiful, emotional gift that Bich Hong dedicates to Hanoi on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2023) and is also a beautiful story about a girl named after a river told on the occasion of October 20 - Vietnamese Women's Day.
