TPO - Due to heavy rain and rising river water, Hanoi has had to close bridges, close roads and restrict traffic in many locations. On the morning of September 12, the Hanoi Department of Transport announced that 10 bus routes had to be adjusted accordingly.

Specifically, the Hanoi City Traffic Management and Operation Center (Tramoc) said that banning all vehicles from passing through Duong Bridge has forced 7 bus routes that regularly pass through this bridge to adjust their routes and switch to Dong Tru Bridge.

7 bus routes "correcting" the direction to Dong Tru bridge include: Route 15 Gia Lam Bus Station - Pho Ni; route 17 Long Bien - Noi Bai; route 54 Long Bien - Bac Ninh; route 42 Giap Bat Bus Station - Duc Giang; route 43 Thong Nhat Park - Dong Anh; route 59 Dong Anh - Hanoi University of Agriculture ; route 122 Gia Lam Bus Station - Bac Thang Long Industrial Park.

Along with that, Tramoc also advised the Department of Transport to adjust the routes of 3 other bus routes due to flooding and road closures. Including: Bus route No. 116 Yen Trung (Thach That district) - Chuc Son town (Chuong My) and route No. 06B Giap Bat bus station - Hong Van also had to temporarily adjust the route, because Phu Long bridge (Quoc Oai district) was temporarily closed and road 427 (old road 71) in Thuong Tin district was deeply flooded.

Route 163 from Yen Nghia Bus Station to Nhon had to temporarily adjust its route due to vehicles temporarily stopping traveling through Yen So Bridge (Hoai Duc District); Route 112 from Nam Thang Long to Thach Da (Me Linh District) also had to adjust its route due to limited vehicles operating on the Red River's left dike.

Tramoc leaders said that the unit is monitoring the next developments of the flood and traffic diversion work of the authorities to have a plan to adjust bus routes accordingly.
