200 women in Ben Tre received free breast cancer screening

On November 28, Gia An 115 Hospital in collaboration with the Women's Union of Giong Trom District, Ben Tre Province, organized the opening ceremony of the program 'Accompanying breast cancer screening: Screening today - Peace of mind tomorrow'.

The program is implemented by Hoa Lam Group in coordination with Gia An 115 Hospital to accompany the locality in taking care of the health of 200 women in Giong Trom district.

The program was first deployed in Luong Quoi commune on November 28, then implemented at the headquarters of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations of Giong Trom district on November 29-30.

At the program, 200 women will receive mammography and breast ultrasound right on the mobile mammography vehicle invested by Gia An 115 Hospital. The vehicle is specially designed to ensure insulation, anti-vibration, and radiation safety for the entire system; equipped with modern machines such as mobile breast ultrasound machines and mammography X-ray systems...

After performing mammography and breast ultrasound, women are also given detailed advice on how to protect their breast health, instructions on regular breast self-examination, and useful information on nutrition and scientific lifestyle to prevent disease.

Dr. Huynh Thi Ngoc Thuy, Deputy Director of Gia An 115 Hospital, said that the program to sponsor 200 free mammograms and breast ultrasounds in Giong Trom district is part of a series of community health care activities, accompanying the locality in implementing socialized work on people's health care implemented by Hoa Lam Group and Gia An 115 Hospital.

With the mobile mammography vehicle, the hospital plans to continue expanding the program to many other localities, bringing the opportunity to screen for breast cancer with advanced technology to many women across the country.
