Component project 1 of the Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway Construction Investment Project was approved with a total investment of VND 6,989 billion, 22 km long, and is expected to start construction on December 19, 2025.

Regarding the Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway Construction Investment Project, a representative of the Gia Lai Provincial Traffic and Civil Works Project Management Board (referred to as the Management Board) said that the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee decided to approve the investment project of Component Project 1 on November 22, 2025.

According to the Management Board, it is expected that on December 7, 2025, the province will approve the technical design and strive to complete the selection of construction contractors and start construction of Component Project 1 in celebration of the 14th National Congress of the Party on December 19, 2025.

Meanwhile, Component Project 2 is expected to be approved on December 28, 2025, and start construction in March 2026.

Regarding the project preparation work, the representative of the Information Management Board, the unit together with the Management Board of Construction Investment Projects of Gia Lai province and localities are organizing the implementation of compensation and site clearance work with a total recovered land area of ​​about 1,053.93 hectares/6,609 households and 17 organizations.

The number of households that need to be resettled is about 611, the total number of graves that need to be relocated is about 2,352 and procedures for investment in the construction of 12 resettlement areas to serve the project. It is expected that in March 2026, Gia Lai province will basically complete the compensation, site clearance and construction of resettlement areas.

Regarding the relocation of technical infrastructure, the two project management boards are preparing plans to relocate affected medium-voltage and low-voltage lines and clean water pipes; Vietnam Electricity Group is relocating 28 affected 110 kV and 220 kV lines.

Regarding the material demand for the entire project, through the synthesis of data, the project needs 16.242 million m3 of fill soil; 2.39 million m3 of sand and 3.56 million m3 of stone. Up to now, relevant agencies and units have surveyed and reported to the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for the policy of using 17 soil mines, 12 sand mines and stone mines in the province to serve the project. Basically, these mines ensure the reserves and quality.

According to the decision dated October 20, 2025 of the People's Committee of Gia Lai province, the Project Management Board of Traffic and Civil Works of Gia Lai province was assigned to be the investor of Component Project 1 of the route section from Km 0 to Km 22 (6,989 billion VND) and Component Project 2 of the route section from Km 22 to Km 90 (27,576 billion VND); the Management Board of Construction Investment Projects of Gia Lai province is the investor of Component Project 3 of the route section from Km 90 to Km 125 (9,169 billion VND).

For Component Project 3 passing through the western communes and wards of Gia Lai province, the Gia Lai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board also set a target to start construction on December 19, 2025 and hand over 100% of the site to the construction unit before March 31, 2026.

On November 22, 2025, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province issued a decision approving the Investment Project to build Component Project 1, the section from Km0+000 - Km22+000 of the Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway Investment Project. Implementation period from 2025 - 2029.
The project starts at Km39+200, National Highway 19B in An Nhon Bac ward and ends at the west of Phu Phong town bypass in Binh Phu commune. The total length of the project is 22 km, passing through An Nhon Bac and An Nhon wards, Binh An, Binh Hiep and Binh Phu communes.
The project has a total investment capital of 6,989 billion VND, of which construction cost is 4,482 billion VND; compensation and resettlement support cost is more than 1,577 billion VND; contingency cost is more than 562 billion VND; construction investment consulting cost is more than 165 billion VND...
The entire route has 28 bridges, including 21 bridges on the highway, 7 bridges within intersections; 3 interchanges; 15 residential underpasses and 2 highway overpasses...
Thang Long Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company, Traffic Design and Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 4, IDECO Vietnam Joint Stock Company and Traffic Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 5 are the contractors consulting on survey and preparing technical research reports on construction investment.
The contractors reviewing the construction investment technical research report include the Traffic Construction Investment and Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company; Road Engineering Center 3.
