249 primary school teachers compete for provincial-level excellent teachers

This morning, December 8, the Departmentof Education and Training (DoET) of Quang Tri organized the opening ceremony of the provincial-level primary school excellent teacher competition for the 2024-2025 school year.

The contest was attended by 249 contestants from 9 Departments of Education and Training, 2 primary schools under the Department and 1 specialized school. The contest content consists of 2 parts: presenting a measure to contribute to improving the teaching quality of individuals at educational institutions where teachers are working with a duration of 20 minutes/teacher; practicing 1 period according to the teaching plan at the time of the contest.

For primary education, the 2024-2025 school year is the 5th school year and also the year the 2018 General Education Program is implemented at all levels. Therefore, organizing the provincial competition for excellent primary school teachers in the 2024-2025 school year is an important professional activity for the entire sector.

The contest aims to select and recognize outstanding teachers and create conditions for teachers to demonstrate their abilities, learn, and exchange experiences on teaching methods and forms to develop their careers. At the same time, it also discovers, commends, and promotes advanced models in teaching, creating motivation to improve the quality of education in each school and locality and attracting the attention of social forces to participate in primary school education.

Thereby, contributing to assessing the current status of capacity and pedagogical skills of the team in order to develop a plan to train and foster primary school teachers to meet the requirements of educational innovation.

The contest takes place from January 8 - 20, 2025.
