On the afternoon of June 28, the Ministry of Education and Training held a press conference on the 2024 high school graduation exam. Mr. Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training, Deputy Head of the National Steering Committee for the 2024 High School Graduation Exam, said that this is the last exam organized according to the 2006 general education program.
Mr. Chuong said that at the end of the exam, statistics showed that nationwide there were 30 candidates who violated exam regulations, of which 26 candidates were suspended from the exam (9 candidates used documents and 17 candidates used mobile phones), no staff violated exam regulations.
Regarding the transportation and printing of exam papers, Mr. Chuong affirmed that safety and confidentiality were guaranteed. The Ministry of Education and Training assessed that the exams took place safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations.
Mr. Huynh Van Chuong said that the high school graduation exam questions will increasingly aim to have high applicability and differentiation to facilitate university enrollment.
Regarding the information about the leaked Literature exam, Professor Nguyen Ngoc Ha, Deputy Head of the Department of Secondary Education , Ministry of Education and Training, affirmed that there was no case of leaked Literature exam. "The leak for Literature subject must be duplicate excerpts or duplicate questions. We affirm that this did not happen," said Mr. Ha.
At exactly 8am on July 17, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce the exam scores. After the results are available, the Departments of Education and Training will organize the high school graduation exams.
