60,000 workers in Hanoi received 1 million VND in support on the occasion of Lunar New Year.

The Hanoi Labor Federation said that during the upcoming Lunar New Year, 60,000 union members and workers will receive support of 1 million VND/person.

The Hanoi City Labor Federation has planned to organize activities to take care of union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026.

Accordingly, this unit has many activities to take care of union members and workers during Tet, with priority given to those in especially difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, illnesses, lost their jobs, had their working hours reduced, or have unpaid wages and bonuses.

In the case of families with preferential policies, ethnic minorities, those who have not returned home for Tet for many years or those who stay at their units or businesses to work, support will also be provided.

Specifically, 60,000 union members and workers in the city will be supported with 1 million VND/person. In particular, those who are directly visited and given New Year greetings by the capital's leaders will be given an additional gift of 300,000 VND.

This year, the Trade Union Tet market will open at two locations: the social housing area (Thien Loc commune) from January 31, 2026 to February 1, 2026 and the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace (Cua Nam ward) from February 7, 2026 to February 8, 2026.

Accordingly, 6,000 vouchers worth 500,000 VND and 6,000 "0 VND" gifts worth 300,000 VND will be given to workers. In particular, goods and necessities will be discounted by at least 10% compared to the actual price.

In addition, the Hanoi City Labor Federation has 9,300 more online shopping vouchers on e-commerce platforms, giving priority to those who do not receive direct shopping vouchers.

At 84 commune and ward trade unions, trade union organizations will organize the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" with many activities such as performing arts, gift giving, banh chung wrapping contest, fruit tray display, lucky draw...

This unit also organized 30 free buses (for 1,200 workers) departing from Thang Long Industrial Park on February 14, 2026, the 27th of December.

At the same time, 5,500 other people will be supported with 300,000-700,000 VND in ticket prices depending on the locality, including cases where they return to their hometowns in the South or the Northern mountainous areas.

Grassroots unions are also encouraged to organize "Tet not far from home" for workers staying in the capital to work through the Union's year-end meal or "Tet not far from home".
