
On September 15, 1945, Vietnam News Agency (now Vietnam News Agency) officially broadcast to the world and domestically the historic Declaration of Independence and the list of members of the Provisional Government of the new Vietnam in three languages: Vietnamese, French, and English.
September 15th became the traditional day of the national news industry.
Throughout its 80-year history of formation and development, from the resistance war against French colonialism and American imperialism to the period of renovation, international integration and the fourth industrial revolution, Vietnam News Agency has always been a pioneer on the information front, promptly reflecting current events at home and abroad, providing official, honest and objective sources of news, serving the leadership of the Party, the management of the State and the information needs of the public.
With worthy contributions and sacrifices on the journey of building and defending the Fatherland, Vietnam News Agency has been honored to receive the Hero title three times: Hero of Labor in the renovation period (2001); Hero of the People's Armed Forces (2005 and 2020); was awarded the Gold Star Order (1995), Ho Chi Minh Order (1990, 2010 and 2025) and many other noble orders and medals by the Party and State./.
