According to a survey by recruitment technology startup Checkr, 3,000 American workers from all generations: Boomer (born between 1946-1964), Gen X (born between 1965-1980), Millennial (born between 1981-1996) and Gen Z (born between 1997-2012) to know about the use of AI tools at work.

Survey AI tools are often generative AI such as ChatGPT, Jasper, which use algorithms and machine learning to analyze and process large volumes of data. Accordingly, artificial intelligence is utilized in every corner, from automating repetitive tasks to advanced data analysis and decision making.
When asked if they had ever used AI tools at work, 85% said yes, with Millennials leading the way at 89%, followed by Gen Z (87%), Gen X (82%), and Boomers (80%). 79% of them feel pressured to learn more about AI to increase their productivity and efficiency at work. Only 6% are not allowed to use AI under any circumstances.
They are worried that their jobs could be threatened by AI. 49% of people surveyed are stressed about the possibility of being replaced by AI, with Millennials and Gen Z being the most concerned at 57%. The departments most likely to be laid off because of AI are web development and programming.
To cope with being replaced by AI, 67% of workers said they would use their own money to study AI to keep their jobs. 77% of Millennials are willing to spend money to study AI, followed by Gen Z (69%), Gen X (61%) and Boomers (59%).
Given the huge challenges that AI presents, organizations that carefully consider ethics and invest in upskilling their workers will reap the benefits of AI.
