An Giang trains cleaner production for industrial production facilities

On December 2, in Long Xuyen ward, An Giang Industrial Promotion and Development Consulting Center (An Giang Department of Industry and Trade) organized a training workshop to disseminate knowledge on cleaner production for industrial production establishments in the province.

At the workshop, delegates were introduced to an overview of cleaner production, how to apply an integrated environmental prevention strategy to production processes, products and services to improve efficiency and minimize risks to humans and the environment; approaches, steps to assess cleaner production, methods of balancing materials and energy; identifying waste streams, building improvement solutions and practical models at enterprises; typical successes when applying cleaner production in the paper, seafood, textile and garment industries... helping enterprises identify the potential to save from 5 - 20% of energy, water and fuel costs through internal management, equipment improvement, circulation, reuse and technology conversion.

The workshop aims to support businesses in improving their environmental management capacity, promoting green transformation and proactively applying efficient production solutions, reducing emissions, and moving towards sustainable development. Cleaner production not only helps businesses save costs and optimize raw materials, but also creates environmentally friendly products, enhancing reputation and competitiveness.

After the merger, the whole province has up to 98% of establishments and enterprises operating in the processing and manufacturing sector, playing an important role in economic and social growth. Therefore, the requirement for green, clean production, energy saving and emission reduction becomes urgent.

This training course provides knowledge about the benefits, principles, techniques and cleaner production models, helping businesses develop solutions to improve processes, reduce waste and enhance competitiveness in the market.”
