Mr. Ngo Minh Hai was re-elected as chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union for the 9th term.

On the afternoon of November 4th, Mr. Ngo Minh Hai was directly elected by consensus to be the chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City for the term 2024-2029.

Mr. Ngo Minh Hai is currently the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union. Born in 1987 in Ho Chi Minh City, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, a Master's degree in Public Administration, and an advanced degree in Political and Administrative Theory.

Presenting his action plan to the congress, Hai said that in his position as the city's youth leader, he and the Youth Union would work closely with the youth and other youth organizations in the city to act together for the city's development.

More than ever, my greatest aspiration has always been to contribute to my homeland, especially the place where I was born, raised, and where I am deeply connected—and for each of us, that aspiration is to contribute to the city named after our beloved President Ho Chi Minh.

The newly elected chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union for the 9th term stated that he has four areas of concern.

Firstly, we must continue to spread the spirit of patriotism through the "I Love My Homeland" movement. In this movement, patriotism is central to designing, building, and inspiring action movements among the youth of Ho Chi Minh City.

From there, goals and values ​​are shaped for young people to strive for, train, work, study, and contribute, becoming flowers that contribute to society.

Secondly, we must build and promote the central role of the Youth Union organization and each Youth Union official in uniting young people, with the spirit that "wherever there are young people, there is the Youth Union organization or activities for young people."

"We will expand the front of solidarity and unity among young people, continuing to accompany, support, and connect them so that young people and youth organizations have the most favorable conditions to operate, develop, and contribute, so that the Vietnam Youth Union of the city truly becomes a common home for all young people and youth organizations in the area, a rallying banner, leading young people forward," Hai stated.

Thirdly, we must continuously help young people be creative so they can overcome their limitations and grow stronger from a foundation of knowledge, quickly accessing and mastering new issues today.

In this context, creativity is seen as the driving force and method to help each Youth Union official, member, and young person in the city face and overcome the difficulties and challenges posed in the current period.

Fourth, we will continue to work with the City Youth Union to ignite the aspirations of each young person. These aspirations include the desire to live a life of dedication, sharing, and giving to society. This involves accompanying and supporting young people in realizing their desires and dreams in their studies, training, and life.

The congress also nominated 79 individuals to participate in the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City for the term 2024-2029.

At its first meeting, the Ho Chi Minh City Association Committee, 9th term, nominated 25 members to the secretariat, including 9 vice-presidents for this term.
