Mr. Ngo Minh Hai was re-elected as President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City, term IX.

On the afternoon of November 4, Mr. Ngo Minh Hai was directly elected as the President of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union for the 2024-2029 term.

Mr. Ngo Minh Hai is currently the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union. He was born in 1987 in Ho Chi Minh City, has a bachelor's degree in biotechnology, a master's degree in public management and advanced political and administrative theory.

Presenting the action program before the congress, Mr. Hai said that in his position as the city's youth leader, he will work with the Association to stand side by side with the city's youth and youth organizations to act together for the city's development.

More than ever, I always consider my greatest aspiration to be to contribute to my homeland, especially the place where I was born, grew up and was attached to, and in each of us, that is the aspiration to contribute to the city named after beloved Uncle Ho.

The new president of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, term IX, said he has four issues of concern.

Firstly, continue to spread the spirit of patriotism through the movement "I love my Fatherland". In which, patriotism is the center to design, build and inspire action movements of the youth of the city named after Uncle Ho.

From there, shape the goals and values for young people to strive for, practice, work, study and contribute, becoming flowers that contribute to life.

Second, build and promote the central role of solidarity of the Association and of each Association officer with the spirit of "wherever there are young people, there are Associations or activities for young people".

"We will expand the solidarity front to gather young people, continue to accompany, support, and connect so that young people and youth organizations have the most favorable conditions to operate, develop, and contribute, so that the Vietnam Youth Union of the city can truly be a common home for all young people and youth organizations in the area, a flag to call and lead young people forward," said Mr. Hai.

Third, constantly help young people be creative to overcome their own limitations and grow from a knowledge base, quickly approaching and mastering new current issues.

In which, creativity is considered as the driving force and method to help each Association official, member, and youth of the city face and overcome the difficulties and challenges in the current period.

Fourth, continue to work with the City Youth Union to ignite the aspirations of each young person. That is the aspiration to live a life of dedication, to share, to dedicate to life. It is to accompany and support young people to realize their aspirations and dreams in studying, training and life.

The Congress also consulted 79 members to participate in the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union Committee for the 2024-2029 term.

At the first conference, the 9th Ho Chi Minh City Association Committee consulted 25 members to participate in the secretariat, including 9 vice presidents for this term.
