More than 1.1 billion online views and interactions on the journey 'I love my Fatherland'

On September 18, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union announced that the journey "I love my Fatherland" on social networking platforms has created a widespread ripple effect among union members, youth and people of all walks of life with more than 1.1 billion accesses and interactions on social networking platforms.

Of which, on the Facebook platform, there were more than 621 million views with more than 118,000 posts posted; on the TikTok platform, there were more than 477 million views with more than 16,100 creative videos ; the online avatar frame creation tool "I love my Fatherland" attracted 4,272,775 approaches, interactions and avatar uses.

The journey “I love my Fatherland” was organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). Accordingly, the journey is divided into 3 stages, each stage carrying a separate message.

Stage 1 with the theme "Youth in Gratitude" took place from July 17 to 27. The Association's chapters across the country simultaneously organized more than 3,484 activities, attracting more than 330,000 members and young people to participate. With a total support budget of 27.5 billion VND, young people visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, and families of martyrs. Nearly 3,400 volunteer teams cleaned and decorated martyrs' cemeteries. In particular, 1,637 houses and buildings were newly built and renovated, with 87,471 working days, totaling 11 billion VND, helping families with difficult policies.

The highlight of the second leg of the journey "Proud of the national epic" (from July 27 to August 19) was the "I love my Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony taking place on August 16 at 3,334 locations, attracting 126,777 members and youths. Along with that, the Association at all levels presented 17,526 flags, 3,384 photos of Uncle Ho; carried out 1,886 youth projects and tasks worth 1.94 billion VND; and presented 2,295 social security gifts worth 1.7 billion VND. The whole country organized 2,651 activities, meetings with witnesses, activities to return to the source, and propaganda of the historical value of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

The highlight of the third leg of the “Pride of Vietnam” journey (from August 20 to September 2) was the simultaneous implementation of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. Nationwide, 133 performances, formations of the national flag, the map of Vietnam and the words “I love my Fatherland” were organized with the participation of 17,398 members and young people. Along with that, 4,000 social security activities were implemented, attracting 228,173 members and young people, with total resources reaching 14.1 billion VND.

The journey "I love my Fatherland" has achieved many outstanding successes. All targets set out in the plan have been completed and exceeded. Specifically, 4,857 journeys were organized, attracting nearly 650,000 young people to participate, with total support resources reaching 43.7 billion VND. More than 129,500 national flags and more than 36,300 photos of Uncle Ho were presented, exceeding the set target.

According to the Organizing Committee, the journey "I love my Fatherland" in 2025 was deployed synchronously and widely across the country, with the active participation of all levels of the Association, members, and youth, leaving many deep impressions. The key targets set out in the basic plan were all completed and exceeded, especially the targets on the number of organized journeys (almost 6 times higher) and interactions and outreach on social networks (reaching more than 1.1 billion views, far exceeding the target). Propaganda work was focused on, diversified in form, strongly applying digital technology and social networks, with new and creative ways of doing things, combining with media units to resonate propaganda, creating a widespread influence.

The journey “I love my Fatherland” in 2025 is not only a series of activities to show gratitude, pride and affirm the love of the homeland and country of the youth, but also a clear demonstration of the strength of solidarity, creativity and social responsibility of Vietnamese youth in the new period. With strong spread both directly and on the internet, the journey has contributed to arousing the belief and national pride, fostering the spirit of dedication of today's young generation, continuing the glorious 80-year tradition of the nation.
