This new software comes just about 5 days after Apple released iOS 17.0.1 and iPadOS 17.0.1 to patch several serious security vulnerabilities.

Apple unexpectedly released iOS 17.0.2 and iPadOS 17.0.2

The iOS 17.0.2 and iPadOS 17.0.2 update has version number 21A351 and can be downloaded and installed over-the-air on eligible iPhones and iPads by going to the Settings app - Software Update.

Previously, iOS 17.0.2 was made available to iPhone 15 owners and now Apple has made the software available to all iOS 17 compatible iPhones instead of limiting it to the latest iPhone models.

According to Apple's release notes, iOS 17.0.2 fixes an issue that could prevent direct data transfer from another iPhone during setup, an issue that affected iPhone 15 models.
