The janitor was given a car worth $20,000 by a group of male students.

A group of male students from James Madison High School raised $20,000 to buy janitor Francis Apraku a car. The car was delivered to Mr. Francis last week.

Francis Apraku was an immigrant worker in the United States. When he was hired as a janitor at James Madison High School, Francis always had a good relationship with the male students at the school.

Once, Mr. Francis confided to a group of male students that he dreamed of owning a car for easier transportation. However, with his current income, that dream seemed far-fetched. Hearing the janitor's story, the students at the school rallied together to raise funds from the community, hoping to make the janitor's dream a reality.

The fundraising campaign began last year. A year later, the group of male students achieved their goal; they used the money raised to buy a car for the janitor.

Logan Georgelas, a male student representing the group calling for donations, said: "We decided to work together to make Uncle Francis's dream a reality with the support of the community."

Initially, we thought the plan would be difficult to succeed, but we still went ahead and implemented it. On the very first day of fundraising, we received $5,000, which was a good sign that our plan was feasible."

Speaking about the gift he received, Francis said: "I will never forget the kindness of these boys, as well as the generosity of the community towards me. I will always live each day with gratitude. This is a wonderful memory in my life."

The boys at the high school greatly admired Francis Apraku because he was always friendly, cheerful, and always asked about and encouraged them. Whenever he could do something to help the teenagers, Francis was always ready to do so.

Francis's presence at the high school made the boys feel happier and more positive about going to school. Their fondness for the friendly janitor led the boys to decide to do something special for him.
