On December 10th, the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province, together with the Southern Center for Education and Training Development - Ministry of Education and Training , Ho Chi Minh City National University, and Ho Chi Minh City Education Magazine, jointly organized a career guidance program with the theme "Gen Z Choosing Majors in the AI Era".
The program aims to help students identify prominent career paths in the age of artificial intelligence (AI) so they can choose a field that aligns with future trends.
At the program, representatives from higher education institutions in Ho Chi Minh City, along with experienced experts, provided an overview of the labor market and careers in the digital age.
To adapt to the rapid changes in technology, universities are now constantly innovating their training programs and opening many new majors to meet practical needs.
"To choose a suitable field of study in the digital age, the most important thing is for students to enhance their adaptability, self-learning abilities, and lifelong learning spirit," experts emphasized.
The 18th "Choosing Your Future Career Together" career guidance program is being implemented in over 100 high schools in Ho Chi Minh City and more than 500 high schools in the Southeast, Central, and Central Highlands regions of Vietnam.
In Lam Dong province alone, the program is organized in nearly 70 high schools throughout the province, contributing to supporting students in choosing careers that suit their abilities, interests, and family circumstances.
This year, the program focuses on helping students access AI, understand the shifts in the labor market under the impact of technology, so that they are not intimidated by AI but know how to use it as a tool to support their learning and career choices. At the same time, it equips them with the necessary skills to effectively compete with AI in their career paths.
