Bac Ninh: Total retail sales of goods and service revenue continue to increase strongly

BAC NINH - According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Ninh, the province's total retail sales of goods and service revenue in July 2025 continued to increase.

Specifically, total retail sales of goods in July are estimated at more than VND 12.57 trillion, up 27.49% over the same period in 2024, and cumulative sales in the first 7 months are estimated at more than VND 84.65 trillion, up 20.4% over the previous year.

Wholesale sales of goods in July were estimated at over VND24.69 trillion, up 0.34% over the previous month and 18.32% over the same period last year. Most service sectors saw increases compared to the previous month and the same period last year.

The reason for the high increase in total retail sales of goods and service revenue in July this year is because the economy has recovered, so people are more interested in shopping for goods and using services. At the same time, July is the summer vacation season, so tourist attractions and restaurants attract many customers. July is also the time when localities focus on harvesting lychees, so the demand for consumption of items such as: Ice, Styrofoam boxes and other ancillary goods and services increases accordingly.

Enterprises in industrial zones and clusters are focusing on production to deliver orders during the time the US postpones imposing tariffs on Vietnamese exports. Thanks to that, trade and freight activities are bustling, ensuring jobs for workers also contributes to stimulating consumer demand. Prices of goods on the market basically do not have many big fluctuations.

At the same time, to ensure supply, from the end of 2024, the Department of Industry and Trade has planned to coordinate with relevant sectors and enterprises producing and supplying goods to reserve products for sale on the market; the authorities also actively inspect, control and strictly handle acts of trading in counterfeit and poor quality goods.

It is forecasted that trade and service activities in the province will continue to increase in the coming months. Because after the province's merger and the implementation of the 2-level government model, large projects in the province will continue to be invested in and implemented, creating more jobs and income for workers, thereby stimulating consumption.
