The Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard Command has directed units to coordinate with relevant sectors and local authorities to notify vessels operating in the sea areas to grasp the location, direction of movement and developments of storm No. 13 so that they can proactively avoid and not enter dangerous areas; at the same time, organize inspections, counting, strictly maintain combat readiness and disaster prevention and control, search and rescue.

Up to now, the units have guided 5,487 ships to safe anchorage; maintained contact with 274 ships and 1,918 fishermen moving to shelter areas; and at the same time, propagandized and mobilized 2,425 cage owners to tie up and leave the dangerous area on the afternoon of November 5. With the spirit of "proactive - timely - safe", the Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard and local authorities are making the greatest efforts to minimize the damage caused by storm No. 13.
As of 3 p.m. on November 5, Quy Nhon storm shelter had more than 680 fishing boats anchored safely. De Gi lagoon area had more than 870 boats anchored. Tam Quan storm shelter had 2,514 boats anchored to avoid the storm, of which 2,098 boats belonged to fishermen in the province.

Border guards dispatched forces to coordinate with local authorities to vulnerable areas to help people reinforce their houses and transport their belongings to safe locations; deployed measures to prepare forces and vehicles to quickly mobilize when ordered; proactively supported the evacuation of people in dangerous areas, ensuring absolute safety for people.
