Handing over 14 more houses to poor households in Tri Ton district

On April 28, the People's Committee of An Tuc Commune (Tri Ton District) organized a house handover ceremony under the program to eliminate temporary houses, dilapidated houses, and Great Unity houses in 2025 for poor households. Accordingly, 14 houses were given to poor households, including 7 houses in the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; 7 Great Solidarity houses. The newly built houses have an area of ​​32 - 44m2 , meeting the "3 hard" standards, with corrugated iron roofs, brick walls, tiled floors, and standard toilets.

The cost of building the houses ranges from 60 to 100 million VND. Of which, An Giang Newspaper supports the cost of building 2 houses; Mr. Trinh Van Phu's family (Luong An Tra commune enterprise) supports the cost of building 5 houses in the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the support level is 60 million VND/house.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of An Giang Newspaper Nguyen Thanh Tin said that in response to the Prime Minister 's call to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, and determining that this is a program of practical significance, the Editorial Board of An Giang Newspaper has allocated the An Giang Newspaper Social Charity Fund to support localities throughout the province to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, including Tri Ton district. This is the heart of the Editorial Board, officers, reporters, and employees of An Giang Newspaper joining hands, contributing with local authorities to care for those in difficult circumstances.

On behalf of the sponsors, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of An Giang Newspaper Nguyen Thanh Tin hopes that the people who receive the new houses will continue to preserve and renovate them so that they can be used for a long time. At the same time, he hopes that the families will continue to strive to overcome difficulties, actively work and produce, rise out of poverty, and stabilize their lives.

Implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, up to now, An Tuc commune has completed and handed over 125/158 houses to poor and near-poor households in the area. By May 15, the commune strives to complete 100% of the houses according to the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
