According to the Provincial People's Committee's Plan, the 2025 Independence Day will take place over 4 days (from August 30 to September 2, 2025), on a provincial scale, held in Than Uyen commune. It is expected to attract over 800 delegates, artists, athletes, reporters, businesses and tourists to participate.
At the meeting, the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented the draft assignment of tasks and asked for comments from members of the Organizing Committee for the 2025 Independence Day. Accordingly, the Organizing Committee consists of 21 members, including Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee. The members are representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities.
At the meeting, the representative of Than Uyen commune informed about the progress of preparations for Independence Day 2025. Accordingly, Than Uyen commune has issued a Plan to organize activities for Independence Day, Cultural and Sports Festival of Than Uyen commune in 2025; drafted the following: Decision to establish advisory and support subcommittees; Decision to establish the Jury, Referee Team; Decision to recruit actors; Regulations and Charter of cultural and sports activities within the framework of the event; contacted the organizing unit to prepare for the KOMOMO Than Uyen International Run 2025, Motorized Paragliding; implemented the renovation and repair of the commune stadium and carried out propaganda work about the event.
In the coming time, Than Uyen commune will coordinate with Muong Than, Muong Kim, Khoen On communes to unify the content and methods of organizing activities according to the plan. Of which, about 2,000 people will be mobilized to participate in the solidarity dance "Sparkling colors of Than Uyen - Lai Chau" and more than 1,000 people will participate in the flag-raising ceremony. Logistics, facilities, plans to ensure health , security, order and environment are also being focused on preparing. At the same time, Than Uyen commune also pointed out some difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process and proposed solutions to organize the event with the best results.
At the meeting, delegates basically agreed with the draft assignment of tasks and proposed additional content related to medical work and disease prevention during the event.
Opinions also focused on discussing many important contents such as: preparing facilities; evaluating scenarios; implementation costs; mobilizing participating forces; ensuring security and order, fire prevention and fighting, traffic safety; supplying electricity for the event; organizing cultural and sports activities; propaganda and communication work before, during and after the event...
Concluding the meeting, Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of Independence Day 2025 emphasized: The organization of Independence Day must put people at the center, aiming to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere so that each person can feel the joy and pride in the great festival. Through that, it contributes to educating patriotism, fostering national pride and promoting the beauty of Lai Chau people and land to friends and tourists.
He requested that departments, branches and localities must be really focused and enhance their sense of responsibility in the process of implementing and organizing activities. The 2025 Independence Day must ensure absolute safety and comprehensiveness according to the motto "6 Safe": Security and order - Traffic safety - Food safety - Health care safety - Electricity safety - Media safety (to avoid media crises). Preparations must be carried out carefully and thoroughly; each activity must have a specific scenario, with clear people, clear tasks, clear time and clear results.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested to soon survey and develop a map of the running routes, arrange guides, medical staff and plans to ensure absolute safety for athletes. Experiential activities for tourists need to be focused on, creating a unique highlight for the event.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is assigned to preside over and proactively guide localities in implementing communication activities; at the same time, prepare well for press conferences and provide full information about the event to the press and media.
