Excitement and pride at connecting with fellow countrymen of Ha Tinh, along with the expectation of abundant job opportunities ahead... these are the feelings of many young people ahead of the meeting of outstanding young people and students from Ha Tinh in Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Tinh entrepreneurs in the Southern region, taking place on November 12th.
Vo Ta Bao Long (born 2004, Thach Trung commune, Ha Tinh city), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology: Thank you for the kindness of my hometown!
Vo Ta Bao Long.
This is my second year leaving my hometown to study in Ho Chi Minh City, pursuing my passion at the Computer Science Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. After my first year, through hard work, I achieved excellent grades. This result brought me an unexpected gift: the opportunity to participate in the upcoming meeting of outstanding young people and students from Ha Tinh in Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Tinh entrepreneurs in the Southern region.
I feel even more proud because the provincial leaders always show great concern for students, especially those from out of town. This is the motivation for us to continue striving and working hard so that wherever we are, we will spread the cultural values of Ha Tinh people and continue the tradition of studiousness of our homeland.
Nguyen Nhu Quynh (born 2003, An Hoa Thinh commune, Huong Son district), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology: An opportunity to learn about the province's human resource recruitment policies and guidelines.
Nguyen Nhu Quynh.
In 2020, I was admitted to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology as the top-scoring student in the entrance exam. Currently, in addition to focusing on my studies, I actively participate in student union and association activities at the university and am the Vice President of the Student Union of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.
As a third-year student, I am always interested in learning about job opportunities and policies regarding human resource recruitment. I learned that our province recently organized a meeting with outstanding students and young people from Ha Tinh in Hanoi and introduced the province's talent attraction policies. I hoped that the program would be held in Ho Chi Minh City – where I am currently studying. And that hope is becoming a reality.
I hope this program will not only be an opportunity to connect generations of children from the province who are living away from home, but also a chance to introduce the province's policies and guidelines on attracting human resources, provide information on the socio-economic situation and development of the province; and highlight job opportunities in the province so that young people and students who are interested can learn about them and return to their hometowns to start their own businesses.
Nguyen Thai Son (born 2001, Duc Tho town), FPT University Ho Chi Minh City: A warm reunion and connection of fellow countrymen!
Nguyen Thai Son.
I am currently a final-year student majoring in Information Security at FPT University Ho Chi Minh City. Having been away from my hometown for over four years, this is the first time I've encountered a large-scale reunion program like this. At the program, I not only had the opportunity to meet outstanding young people and students who have overcome difficulties to excel academically, but also to meet elderly people, uncles, aunts, and older siblings who are entrepreneurs from Ha Tinh province living in the South. This is a valuable opportunity for interaction and connection between generations, fostering a warm sense of camaraderie among fellow countrymen.
Although the program hasn't taken place yet, I've already joined a Zalo group for outstanding young people and students from Ha Tinh in the South. This initial connection has made me feel warm and brought me closer to my fellow countrymen living far from home. I feel incredibly proud to be born a child of Ha Tinh. I hope that from now on, the friends I meet at the program, as well as the students and young people from Ha Tinh in the South, will continue to connect and interact more to create a strong and lasting Ha Tinh community.
Nguyen Ngoc Anh (born in 2001, Ha Tinh Orphanage), former student of Saigon University: A valuable opportunity to access job information.
Nguyen Ngoc Anh.
I entered the Ha Tinh Orphanage at the age of 6. My difficult circumstances motivated me to study hard so I could find a suitable job, support myself, and not disappoint my parents and everyone who cared for me. During my last two years at Saigon University, I was fortunate to receive an annual scholarship of 10 million VND from the "Fund to Support High-Achieving Students from Disadvantaged Backgrounds to Attend University" in my province. This further encouraged me to strive harder. And in October 2023, I graduated with honors in Vietnamese Studies. Currently, I work part-time at a restaurant and wedding venue.
When I learned that I was one of the delegates attending the meeting of outstanding young people and students from Ha Tinh in Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Tinh entrepreneurs in the Southern region, I was very happy. I'm glad that, far from home, I'll have the opportunity to meet my elders, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, and fellow countrymen. I'm even happier to know that many entrepreneurs from Ha Tinh will be attending the program, giving us access to more job opportunities, and allowing us to listen to their experiences and receive inspiration for entrepreneurship. This is truly a rare opportunity for recent graduates like me.
