A culinary journey through Hai Phong.
During his first trip to Vietnam, Nick, an American YouTuber with nearly 300,000 followers on his personal channel, had memorable experiences in Hai Phong . Following a friend's recommendation, he sought out a street food stall selling crab noodle soup on Tran Phu Street and was quickly captivated by this famous local specialty.
The dish not only impressed Nick but is also a source of pride for local cuisine, having been listed among the Top 100 Vietnamese specialties (2020-2021) and honored by TasteAtlas in its list of "100 dishes with the best broths in the world " in 2025.

What makes street-side crab noodle soup so appealing?
Nick's first impression of the eatery nestled in the small alley was its distinctive local style with simple plastic tables and chairs. Despite being a street food stall, he was surprised by the cleanliness and the neatly arranged ingredient trays in the glass display case. "In Vietnam, I'm almost certain that any eatery located in an alley will have delicious food," Nick shared.
A bowl overflowing with high-quality toppings.
When the mixed crab noodle soup was brought out, Nick was amazed by its generous portion. The bowl of noodles was heavy in his hand, overflowing with tempting toppings such as shrimp, betel leaf rolls, fried fish, fish cakes, and mantis shrimp.

The broth has an unforgettable flavor.
From the very first spoonful of broth, the YouTuber nodded in approval. He commented, "The broth is delicious, with a clear, naturally sweet flavor and the aroma of freshwater crab." The rich crab roe, the savory fish cake, and the thick, chewy rice noodles all blended together to create an unforgettable culinary experience.

Reasonable prices and friendly service.
At just 35,000 VND for a quality meal, Nick was extremely satisfied. He considered it one of the best meals he had ever tasted. The owner's enthusiasm and friendliness also contributed to creating a wonderful memory during his trip.
