Alarm II on Ma River, 19 communes and wards are ready to deploy plans to ensure dike safety

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - At 12 noon on August 26, the Provincial Civil Defense Command continued to issue Official Dispatch No. 30, issuing Alert II on the Ma River at Ly Nhan Hydrological Station.

Telegrams sent to the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the following communes and wards: Tay Do, Vinh Loc, Bien Thuong, Quy Loc, Yen Truong, Yen Dinh, Dinh Tan, Dinh Hoa, Thieu Quang, Hoang Giang, Hoang Loc, Hoang Chau, Hoang Thanh, Dong Tien, Ham Rong, Hac Thanh, Quang Phu, Nguyet Vien, Sam Son.

According to the flood warning bulletin on Ma River No. CBLU-37/02h30/THOA dated August 26, 2025 of Thanh Hoa Province Hydrometeorological Station, at 11:00 a.m. on August 26, the water level on Ma River at Ly Nhan Hydrological Station was +10.4m (0.6m below BĐII); the flood warning level downstream of Ma River at Ly Nhan Hydrological Station is likely to reach Alarm Level II (+11m) at 2-4 p.m. today.

The Provincial Civil Defense Command issued an Alert II on the Ma River at the Ly Nhan Hydrological Station, requesting the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the above-mentioned communes and wards to immediately deploy dike patrols and protection according to the alert levels. Organize inspections, reviews and be ready to deploy plans to ensure the safety of dike works; especially key dike points and culverts across the dike in the area. Proactively deploy plans to evacuate people living in the riverbank area. Organize a 24/7 on-duty team, closely monitor the development of rain and floods to be ready to handle situations from the first hour; promptly inform and report to the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Control Command Office and the Standing Office of the Provincial Civil Defense Command.
