HAGL wants to find their first victory.
After six rounds, HAGL and Thanh Hoa FC are the only two teams yet to win a match in the V-League 2025-2026. Understandably, this record places them at the bottom of the table at this point.
In round 7, HAGL will face a theoretically very difficult away match at Lach Tray Stadium - where Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem's Hai Phong Club is very strong, having secured 2 wins and 1 draw against league leaders Ninh Binh FC, giving them 7 out of their current 8 points.
However, HAGL has certain strengths that give them confidence to aim for points, or even a full three points to secure their first victory in the V-League 2025-2026, thereby temporarily escaping the relegation zone.

Coach Le Quang Trai believes that the young HAGL team will soon secure a victory.

In recent encounters at Lach Tray Stadium, HAGL has had both wins and losses, but whenever faced with the most difficult circumstances, they have always known how to bounce back at the right moment to earn points against Hai Phong Club, with 2 draws and 1 win since 2021.
Regain your confidence
More importantly, HAGL is playing better and better with each match, much better than at the beginning of the season when they crumbled 0-3 against Becamex Ho Chi Minh City in the opening game. In the last 3 matches, coach Le Quang Trai's team only lost 1 and drew 3, conceding only 2 goals, including 2 consecutive draws.
In Round 6 before the FIFA Days in October, HAGL, despite being held to a 1-1 draw, played very well against SLNA at Pleiku Arena. Minh Tam's opening goal for HAGL in that match can be seen as the "unlock" of that potential.

That goal helped ease a lot of pressure on the strikers of the mountain town team, who were previously the only team yet to score a single goal in this season's V-League. This will be a motivation for HAGL to confidently earn points, or even a win, at Lach Tray.
Another source of confidence is that HAGL is playing very well in their away matches this season, having drawn 0-0 with Hanoi FC in round 2 and 0-0 with PVF-CAND in round 5. This shows that the young players of coach Le Quang Trai are not at all intimidated when playing away from home.

Goalkeeper Trung Kien (1.91 m tall) played well, keeping a clean sheet on his debut for the Vietnamese national team in a 1-0 victory against Nepal. Defender Quang Kiet also had two good performances for the Vietnam U23 team against Qatar U23, and Tran Gia Bao was included in The Guardian 's list of 60 "prodigies" .
These will be great encouragements and motivations for the youngest team in V-League 2025-2026 to confidently aim for their first victory against Hai Phong Club, which boasts many players who once played for HAGL, such as Viet Hung and Hoang Nam...
