Master Tran Tuan Anh, Director of Admissions at Viet Giao Secondary School, said that implementing Decree 238/2025/ND-CP of the Government on tuition exemption for vocational students, the school is training and completely exempting tuition for students majoring in tour guiding and culinary arts (about 30-42 million VND).
Fieldwork from the first semester
The highlight of this training program is its high practical application. Students not only practice professional skills but also have the opportunity to work in a real environment. Although only requiring students to graduate from junior high school to be able to register for admission, the school does not encourage students to study just because it is "tuition-free".

Culinary Arts students visit the Ajinomoto factory. Here, they learn about how to make essential spices and culinary knowledge.
"The 100% tuition exemption program for these two "hot" professions is not only a financial support policy but also an important lever, helping young people access high-quality vocational education, orient their careers firmly and meet the demand for quality human resources in the labor market" - Master Tuan Anh emphasized.
In addition, intermediate graduates have the opportunity to transfer to higher levels, increasing the chances of promotion to senior management positions. The school commits to the output for students through close cooperation with a series of prestigious units in the tourism, hotel and culinary industries.
"Before registering, students need to clearly identify their dream major. If they do not study according to their passion, it will be difficult to get "sweet results". On the other hand, if they choose the right major, this will be a direction that saves both time and significant tuition costs" - Master Tuan Anh shared.

More than 70% of students will have an internship and get acquainted with the job right from the first semester. This will help students not to be surprised or shocked by the job. According to statistics, more than 90% have a job right after graduation. Especially for chefs and tour guides, the minimum starting salary is over 12 million VND/month.
Diverse directions
In addition to the traditional path to high schools and gifted schools, Mr. Dao Phi Truong, an expert from the Department of Continuing Education - Vocational and University Education - Department of Education and Training, affirmed that middle school students can absolutely choose to study vocational training at vocational training institutions in Ho Chi Minh City.
With this approach, students can study both general education and vocational training in parallel. However, parents and students need to clearly understand the difference between the two programs of general education and vocational training.

Mr. Dao Phi Truong, specialist of the Department of Continuing Education - Vocational and University Education - Department of Education and Training, emphasized that early career guidance for secondary school students is very important, especially for students in grades 8 and 9.
With the 4-subject cultural program, upon completion of the program, students will receive a certificate of completion of high school cultural knowledge, allowing them to transfer directly to college. However, this certificate is not equivalent to a high school diploma.
With the 7-subject cultural program, students can register to take the national high school graduation exam. After the exam, students will receive an official high school diploma, expanding their path to university.
Industries in need of human resources in the next 3-5 years
According to Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Vocational Education Association, Vietnam's demand for human resources continues to increase sharply in industries such as: Manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, tourism and digital economy...
There are many job opportunities, but businesses only prioritize "hunting" for skilled workers, not focusing on manual labor, untrained. On the other hand, businesses also choose to "order" and coordinate closely with secondary schools and colleges. From there, they train generations of quality workers, who can work immediately after graduating.
