Closing Ceremony of the 19th Northern Provinces and Cities Party Newspaper Table Tennis Tournament

During two days (August 17 and 18), nearly 50 athletes representing 10 Party newspaper agencies in the northern provinces and cities enthusiastically participated in 52 matches, creating an attractive and dramatic tournament.

In the end, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to Hung Yen Newspaper, the second prize to Hai Phong Newspaper; Hai Duong Newspaper ranked third. At the same time, 8 sets of medals were awarded to athletes with excellent performance in 8 competition categories, including: Men's singles, men's doubles, men's team, men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.

The athletes were excited to compete.

Returning after a 3-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 19th Northern Provinces and Cities Party Newspaper Table Tennis Tournament hosted by Thai Nguyen Newspaper has contributed to promoting the movement of physical exercise and sports in general; the movement of table tennis in particular. This is also an opportunity for journalists, reporters, and editors to exchange, connect, learn experiences, improve professional qualifications, develop sports talents, and strengthen solidarity and cooperation between Party newspapers of provinces and cities across the country.

At the award ceremony, the host Thai Nguyen Newspaper also awarded the rotating flag to Hung Yen Newspaper - the host of the 20th Northern Provinces and Cities Party Newspaper Table Tennis Tournament in 2024.
