On November 14, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ben Tre province coordinated with Saigontourist Travel Company, the Provincial Tourism Association, the Coconut Cuisine Association of the province and tourism businesses in the province to organize a seminar on "Linking tourism product development and connecting tourist routes and destinations in Ben Tre."

The seminar is one of the activities to specify the contents of the Tourism Development Cooperation Agreement between the People's Committee of Ben Tre province and Saigon Tourist Corporation - One Member Limited Liability Company (Saigontourist Group) for the period 2024-2029.

At the Seminar, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that Ben Tre identified tourism development cooperation and linkage activities as one of the top priority tasks, as a driving force to build diverse tourism products and services, connect intra-regional and inter-regional tourism routes, promote investment, communicate and advertise tourism...

Through tourism development cooperation and association activities, the province is gradually affirming its position on the Vietnam tourism map, introducing its unique features to domestic and foreign tourists. Promoting development links between Ben Tre and other provinces, cities and tourism businesses across the country, especially leading tourism businesses in Ho Chi Minh City in a professional and modern direction is considered a right step for Ben Tre tourism industry.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung hopes that through the discussion, tourism businesses in the province will receive many contributions, experience sharing as well as practical and effective solutions from delegates in building products with unique characteristics of Ben Tre coconut land and connecting and developing attractive tourist routes and destinations to attract tourists. Thereby, adding motivation and inspiration for Ben Tre tourism industry in building unique and novel tourism products and services.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Y Yen, Chairman of the Board of Members of Saigontourist Travel Service Company, shared that the potential for exploiting tourism products in Ben Tre province is still very large, especially tourism products associated with the characteristics of the province's river regions, typical fruit gardens, coastal tourism experiences, etc. These are products that attract international visitors to visit and experience. However, the Company has not yet connected routes and tourist destinations with local units.

The seminar had a frank exchange between the Company as well as units with tourism products in Ben Tre; from there, there was a connection, association to form specific routes and destinations to introduce to tourists. In addition, businesses, tourism, travel and accommodation establishments were more proactive in linking to form systematic tours, focusing on creating tourism products from indigenous resources to create tourism products with unique characteristics of the homeland of coconut.

At the seminar, delegates had many opinions on the issue of connecting tourism units inside and outside the province, the current difficulties and problems; and proposed practical and effective solutions in linking and building tourism products in Ben Tre.

The discussion content has contributed to adding motivation and inspiring ideas for Ben Tre Tourism industry in building unique and novel products and services, creating "links" of routes and attractive tourist destinations, meeting the increasing needs of tourists in the context of international integration.
