Fined for sharing distorted, false information on Facebook

On October 29, information from Hai Phong City Police said that the Internal Political Security Department has just imposed an administrative fine of 7.5 million VND on NGP (residing in An Duong District) for "providing and sharing fake information, false information, distorting, slandering, and insulting the reputation of agencies, organizations, honor, and dignity of individuals".

NGP was fined 7.5 million VND by Hai Phong City Police for sharing bad, harmful, and false information.

Previously, Hai Phong City Police coordinated with An Duong District Police to verify that the user of the Facebook account "Phong Nguyen" regularly posted and shared bad, harmful information, articles from opposing websites with false and distorted content, affecting the reputation of the Party and State, affecting the political security situation and social order and safety in the area. Thereby, Hai Phong Police identified the user of the Facebook account "Phong Nguyen" as NGP

On October 16, when invited to work, NGP admitted to the police about his violations, stemming from regularly following bad, toxic information on YouTube, Facebook... then sharing it on his personal Facebook page.

Realizing the wrongdoing, NGP proactively removed the posted violating articles and pledged not to repeat the offense.
