"Honestly, I'm feeling a bit unstable, confused, and even a little insecure," Huyen Lizzie shared when compared to Hoang Ha.
Part 1 of the film "Us of 8 Years Later" has concluded. Since the evening of December 11th, the film has moved on to phase 2 with a star-studded cast including Mạnh Trường, Huyền Lizzie, Quỳnh Kool, and others...
In part 2, Huyen Lizzie will play Duong, the female lead of the film. Known for her acting talent and having made a name for herself in many previous films such as "Running Away from Youth," "Crocodile Files," "Love and Ambition," and "Sunshine Days," Huyen Lizzie is not receiving as much expectation from the audience this time.
This is Huyen Lizzie's look for the role of Duong in the second part of the film "Us of 8 Years Later".
The reason is that the performance of young actress Hoang Ha, who played Duong in the first part, left a strong impression on the public. Therefore, many people believe that replacing the main cast in the film to portray the characters eight years later is unnecessary.
Being compared to a "newcomer" like Hoang Ha, Huyen Lizzie admitted she felt pressured: "Hoang Ha really acts very well, I highly appreciate her ability. Moreover, the youthful love between Duong and Lam is so wonderful, making the audience love Duong and Lam from part 1 so much."
The first part of the series was a huge success, loved by the audience, which made me very happy because it laid the groundwork for the second part to be well-received. However, that also created pressure as I took on the role of Duong eight years later. The pressure was already there when I took on the role, but after the first part ended and the second part was about to air, the pressure was even greater.
Right now, before the airing of part 2, I'm actually feeling a bit unstable, confused, even a little insecure and nervous. I don't know if I've done well, or if I've been able to continue the success of part 1."
Huyen Lizzie admitted to feeling pressured and "losing confidence" when compared to "newcomer" Hoang Ha.
The actress said that she understands the audience's psychology and is ready to accept all praise, criticism, and comparisons: "Certainly, when the film airs, there will be mixed reactions, comparisons, praise, and criticism. I believe that some viewers will love me as soon as they see me, but many others will need time to get used to and accept the character of Duong later on."
Whether the audience embraces it with love or is unfamiliar with it, I will gladly accept all praise and criticism. Right now, all I can do is try my best to accompany the character Duong through life's journeys in the most memorable way possible, bringing as many emotions to the audience as possible.”
