The project to repair, dig and dredge the bed of Dam stream reservoir is invested by the Department of Cultivation, Plant Protection and Irrigation of the province (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development). The total investment capital is nearly 28 billion VND, including the following items: reservoir; spillway; upstream and downstream channels of the spillway; dredging the canal after the spillway along the current route and dredging the bottom of the canal after the regulating sluice gate...

To date, the contractor has completed approximately 80% of the contract value and is continuing to construct a number of items with construction sites according to approved design documents. Of which, the dredging work on the lake bed has completed approximately 95% and is expected to be completed in May 2023. The project is expected to complete the items and come into operation before the 2023 flood season.

Initially, the project implementation period was from 2019-2021. Due to some difficulties and problems, the project implementation period was adjusted to 2022 and then extended to 2023. The reason for the project's delay was due to compensation and site clearance issues.

At the survey, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh requested the locality to focus on quickly implementing compensation and site clearance so that the project can be completed and put into service before the 2023 flood season. In particular, it is necessary to do a good job of propaganda and mobilization; clearly verify the legality of each land plot that needs site clearance to clearly answer for people to understand and agree.
