The Vietnamese players competing in the third qualifying round of the Gwangju Billiards World Cup 2025 include: Nguyen Hoan Tat, Nguyen Chi Long, Le Thanh Tien, Thon Viet Hoang Minh and Nguyen Nhu Le. Chi Long continues with a perfect record
Nguyen Chi Long is the only Vietnamese player to pass the third qualifying round with a perfect record of 2 wins. In group B, Chi Long beat Tatsuo Arai (Japan) 35-32, before defeating Jose Miguel Soares (Portugal) with a score of 35-25.

The most unfortunate case was Thón Viết Hoàng Minh. Hoàng Minh had a smooth start in the opening match of Group F when he defeated former world champion Ryuuji Umeda from Japan 35-25. However, in the decisive match for the ticket to the next round, Hoàng Minh was defeated 31-35 by Turkish player Ahmet Alp.
All three players in Group F had a record of 1 win and 1 loss. However, Hoang Minh's scoring efficiency was worse than Ahmet Alp's (1,320 vs 1,395). Therefore, the Vietnamese player only ranked second in the group and was eliminated.
Thus, the fourth (final) qualifying round has the participation of 7 Vietnamese players including: Bao Phuong Vinh, Chiem Hong Thai, Dao Van Ly, Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu, Nguyen Hoan Tat, Nguyen Chi Long and Le Thanh Tien. In which, Phuong Vinh, Hong Thai, Van Ly and Thanh Tu are the names that were determined from the beginning to appear in this round.
The fourth qualifying round is the final qualifying round, which is decisive for the ticket to the final round of the Gwangju Billiards World Cup 2025, where the 32 best players of the tournament gather. The fourth qualifying round has 36 players, divided equally into 12 groups, competing in a round-robin format. The 12 group winners, along with the 3 best second-place players, will qualify for the final round.
