According to preliminary statistics of the Ministry of Education and Training on admission registration in 2025, the number of candidates registering for university and college admission in 2025 is 849,544 out of a total of 1,160,033 candidates taking the high school graduation exam.

As of 5:00 p.m. on July 28, the deadline for registration on the Ministry of Education and Training's system, 849,544 candidates had registered for admission, accounting for 73.23%. Thus, more than 310,400 candidates did not register for university and college admission in 2025.

Also according to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, the total number of applications for university and college admission in 2025 is 7,615,560. Accordingly, each candidate registers an average of 8.96 applications.

The Ministry of Education and Training said that the system is operating stably. Currently, there are still some candidates who have submitted their registration information close to the end of the admission period, so the system is continuing to process. Compared to last year, the number of candidates registering for admission in 2025 increased by 115,892 (because there are candidates registering for admission to vocational colleges).

According to the 2025 university and college admissions guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training, from August 13 to 5:00 p.m. on August 20, training institutions will upload data and admission information; high school graduation exam scores; high school study results on the System; exam scores... (if any) and organize admissions.

The Ministry of Education and Training also processes the System to determine the highest wish among the wishes for which the candidate is eligible to be admitted.

By 5:00 p.m. on August 20, training institutions will enter the admission scores and admission results into the system. Review and prepare to announce the first round of admission results according to the general schedule.

Training institutions will notify candidates who have passed the first round before 5:00 p.m. on August 22. Candidates confirm their admission online on the System before 5:00 p.m. on August 30.
