The Ministry of Education and Training announced new revisions to textbooks.

The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has just issued a circular amending and supplementing a number of contents in the 2018 General Education Program. Accordingly, the content of a number of textbooks will have to be adjusted and changed.

Specifically, program editing focuses on the following contents:

History and Geography subjects for primary and secondary schools, Geography subject for grade 12: Amend and supplement contents related to socio -economic regions such as production territory organization of some economic sectors, socio-economic regional boundaries; names and number of provinces and cities in the region, area size, population of the region; economic development resources, development situation, distribution of economic sectors in the regions and some other contents to ensure logic in implementation.

Civic Education: Amending and supplementing the 10th grade curriculum on the topics " Political system of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam" and "Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam".

History: Revise and supplement the Selected Study Topic in Grade 10 (topic "Vietnamese State and Law in History").

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the amendment and supplementation of a number of contents in the General Education Program is due to the National Assembly's Resolution 202/2025/QH15 on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units and Resolution 203/2025/QH15 on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Constitution. To comply with the Constitution and the Resolution of the National Assembly, the education program of the subjects History and Geography at primary and secondary levels; Geography for grade 12; History for grade 10 and Civic Education for grade 10 (Economic and Legal Education) needs to be revised.

The Ministry of Education and Training said that for the implementation of the general education program and textbooks for the 2025-2026 school year, educational institutions will continue to use the selected textbooks. At the same time, they will organize reviews and direct professional teams and teachers to adjust the language materials in lessons and topics to suit the rearrangement of provincial-level administrative units, the organization of two-level local governments and the amended and supplemented contents of the Constitution.

In the coming time, the Ministry of Education and Training will organize training courses to guide managers and teachers in implementation, including guiding teachers to proactively adjust the content of lectures, ensuring accuracy, updating and suitability to reality, especially for materials, data, maps, boundaries of socio-economic regions and administrative units. Organize teaching according to the revised curriculum, fully deploy additional content in History and Geography subjects at primary and secondary levels; Geography grade 12; History and Civic Education grade 10.
