Additional project to bury power lines and improve sidewalks

Kinhtedothi - On March 27, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Decision No. 1769/QD-UBND adjusting and supplementing a number of contents in Plan No. 127/KH-UBND dated April 20, 2023 of the City People's Committee on burying telecommunications and electricity lines and cables on streets in the city in the period of 2021 - 2025.

Accordingly, in terms of the plan, in addition to the 4 historic inner-city districts (Hoan Kiem, Dong Da, Ba Dinh, Hai Ba Trung), the City will supplement the synchronous undergrounding of telecommunications and electricity lines and cables in the remaining districts and Son Tay town in the period of 2022-2025, including streets invested in telecommunications infrastructure by socialized enterprises whose list has been approved by the City People's Committee and routes invested in synchronous underground infrastructure by the People's Committees of districts and Son Tay town in coordination with Hanoi Electricity Corporation (EVN Hanoi).

The People's Committees of Son Tay districts and towns review and proactively develop annual plans for the period 2022-2025, including: Urban beautification, undergrounding of exposed lighting cables, combining with beautification and replacement of LED lights and steel pole systems (if necessary). At the same time, preside over and coordinate with EVN Hanoi, local power companies, and telecommunications enterprises to invest in building a synchronous infrastructure system with sidewalk renovation using legal capital sources; handover, management, and exploitation after investment. EVN Hanoi burying power lines and cables into underground technical infrastructure systems.

Some contents of Plan No. 127/KH-UBND are specifically adjusted such as: Synchronously burying overhead telecommunication and power lines and cables on 110 streets in the area of ​​4 historic inner city districts (Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh, Dong Da, Hai Ba Trung).

Synchronously burying telecommunication and electricity lines and cables on 45 streets in 7 districts (Tay Ho, Thanh Xuan, Cau Giay, Ha Dong, Hoang Mai, Nam Tu Liem, Bac Tu Liem), in which the telecommunication infrastructure is invested by socialized enterprises.

Synchronously burying telecommunication and power lines and cables on 92 streets in 8 districts (Tay Ho, Thanh Xuan, Cau Giay, Ha Dong, Hoang Mai, Nam Tu Liem, Bac Tu Liem, Long Bien), Son Tay town by districts and towns together with EVN Hanoi investing in synchronous infrastructure and sidewalk renovation.

According to Plan No. 127/KH-UBND, the number of streets with underground telecommunication and electricity cables is about 300; in which, resources are concentrated, with priority given to socialization, to complete the synchronous undergrounding of overhead telecommunication and electricity lines and cables on the remaining 45 streets in the area of ​​4 historic inner-city districts.
