On the afternoon of November 9, Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Duc Thang and representatives of leaders of central ministries, branches and Quang Tri province visited, encouraged and presented gifts to support people in Nam Hai Lang commune - an area affected by the recent floods.

After being devastated by storms and floods, Nam Hai Lang commune was deeply flooded for a long time, causing great damage to infrastructure and agricultural production. The whole commune has nearly 640 households with 1,917 people who were severely affected by deep floodwaters, so after the flood receded, they encountered many difficulties in overcoming the consequences caused by natural disasters.
Here, after visiting, sharing and encouraging the people, Minister Tran Duc Thang and the working group presented 500 boxes of instant noodles as support. At the same time, the Minister and the working group presented 50 gifts to disadvantaged households in the commune.
Minister Tran Duc Thang shared the difficulties caused by natural disasters, hoping that people in flooded areas and families affected by floods will quickly restore their houses and barns, clean up the surrounding environment to soon stabilize their lives and production.

Previously, during a working trip to Quang Tri, Minister Tran Duc Thang and the delegation offered flowers and incense to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at the Martyrs Memorial House of Economic - Defense Group 337, Military Region 4 in Huong Phung commune.
On this occasion, the Minister and the delegation also visited the exhibition house at the Martyrs Memorial House of Defense Economic Group 337, Military Region 4 in Quang Tri.
