Improving quality from excellent teacher competitions

In his opening speech, Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Head of the Competition Steering Committee, said that the 6th Excellent Lecturer Competition is an activity held every two years by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. This activity aims to build a team of lecturers of the Academy who are competent, good at their profession, strong in their political ideology, have active and effective teaching methods, and successfully complete assigned training and development tasks.

The Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics emphasized the important role of training and fostering leaders and managers at all levels in the current context; especially after restructuring the apparatus and implementing the three-level government model.

Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang stated that changing reality requires changes in perfecting programs, textbooks, lectures, perfecting training methods, fostering, and interacting with students; thereby not only helping students update new knowledge and new methods but also having the ability to solve ongoing practical problems.

The Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics requested the lecturers attending the Contest to update new ideas in the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress, integrate the content of protecting the Party's ideological foundation in lesson plans and lectures; demonstrate the dignified style and demeanor of Party school lecturers, affirm the dedication, efforts and determination so that each lecture hour and each class session is a product of creative thinking and a strong spirit of innovation.

Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang requested the Council members to uphold the spirit of responsibility, impartiality, objectivity, fair, accurate and truthful evaluation so that after each Competition, the quality of the Academy's teaching staff will be increasingly improved, worthy of the requirements of building an Academy with identity, modernity and integration.

On behalf of the participating lecturers, lecturer Nguyen Thi Le (Faculty of Human Resources Management, Academy of Public Administration and Management) said that the contest is a professional forum for lecturers in the entire Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to study, practice and mature. This is not only a place to demonstrate professional capacity but also a place for each lecturer to self-reflect and improve themselves, to become a prestigious and exemplary lecturer.

According to lecturer Nguyen Thi Le, the contest is like a special class in the journey of knowledge accumulation of each staff and lecturer in the entire Academy system. The contest is an opportunity for lecturers to learn about professional knowledge, skills, methods, and styles from colleagues, from many generations of teachers and leaders of the Academy...
