Training knowledge and skills for staff working in poverty reduction

During 6 days (from November 3 to 8), Lam Dong Province Cooperative Alliance coordinated with the Economic - Policy Department (Vietnam Cooperative Alliance) to train and improve knowledge and skills for staff working on poverty reduction in Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, B'Lao Ward, and Bac Gia Nghia Ward.

Attending the training course were Ms. Bui Thi Oanh, Deputy Head of Economic - Policy Department (Vietnam Cooperative Alliance); Mr. Nguyen Khai, Standing Member of Lam Dong Cooperative Alliance, and 165 trainees who are cooperative officials, cooperative members, and farmer households associated with the cooperative.

The reporter presented the topics to the students at B'Lao Ward.

At the training course, the trainees were presented by the reporter on the following topics: Policy mechanisms to implement the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction for the period 2021 - 2025; Instructions on propaganda, mobilization, implementation of poverty reduction and socio-economic development for the period 2021 - 2025; Inspection, supervision and evaluation of the organization and implementation of production development support projects under the national target programs on poverty reduction; The role and content of activities of cooperatives in sustainable poverty reduction.

Mr. Nguyen Khai, Standing Member of Lam Dong Province Cooperative Union, spoke at the training class.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Khai emphasized that the training course aims to equip knowledge, raise awareness and practical experience for the cooperative staff. Thereby, helping the cooperative organize production and management more effectively, increase labor productivity, increase revenue and income for members, contribute to sustainable poverty reduction, promote socio-economic development and gradually integrate into the international community.
