The film “Red Rain” is produced by the People’s Army Cinema, directed by Meritorious Artist Dang Thai Huyen, with a script by writer Chu Lai, set in the historical context of the 81-day and night battle at Quang Tri Citadel in 1972. The film revolves around Squad 1 - a unit consisting entirely of young soldiers, mostly students, with enthusiasm and noble ideals. The main character is Cuong, a student at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music who gave up the opportunity to study abroad to join the army.

The film depicts the heroic and resilient fight of young soldiers on this fierce front, when they had to hold on and protect the Citadel from enemy attacks. Besides the battle scenes, the film also interweaves stories about comradeship, love, and rare moments of peace amidst bombs and bullets.
Free screening of the film on an online platform helps the film reach millions of viewers, especially those in remote provinces and areas who cannot afford to go to the cinema to enjoy the film live. This is also an opportunity for viewers who have not had time to go to the cinema and fans who want to watch it many times to "absorb" the deep layers of the film.
On the TV360 platform, the film is released in 4K quality. Audiences can enjoy sharp images, a “cinema-like” experience, and can watch the film anytime, anywhere on their phones, tablets or Smart TVs, and rewatch their favorite scenes over and over again…
In addition to free screening on digital platforms, the film is being screened in theaters for free in 9 provinces and cities within the framework of the Film Week celebrating the 24th Vietnam Film Festival and will continue to spread to many localities across the country in the coming time.
