Singer Dam Vinh Hung is a consultant for the singing contest 'The Peak of Music'

The program "Music Peak 2024" is organized to search for singing talents in 3 popular music genres: Folk songs, bolero, and pop music.

Singer Dam Vinh Hung will be the Music Consultant for the program "Music Peak 2024."

On April 21, the program "Music Peak 2024" was officially launched nationwide to search for singing talents in 3 popular music genres: Folk songs, bolero, and pop music.

The program is jointly produced by Diamond Media and Entertainment Group and Voice of Vietnam , providing a healthy playground for talented singers and creating a stepping stone for young singers to pursue their passion.

The contest's jury includes: Journalist Ngo Ba Luc, singer-PhD Thu Ha, singer Ho Quang Tam. Singer Dam Vinh Hung acts as Music Advisor, musician Pham Viet Tuan acts as Music Director of the contest.

Sharing at the press conference on April 21, singer Dam Vinh Hung gave many words of encouragement, urging young people to boldly participate in the contest.

“I participated in television singing contests 8 times but failed all of them. In 1998, I won the fourth prize in the Ho Chi Minh City Television Singing Contest. That was a turning point in my life that made me extremely proud and gave me many opportunities to pursue singing,” singer Dam Vinh Hung shared.

“You guys have better conditions than our generation of singers. I think you can try different genres of music until you realize which one suits you best,” the male singer shared.

Journalist Ngo Ba Luc, Head of the Jury, pointed out a number of criteria for selecting candidates such as voice quality, talent, unique creative artistic style and determination.

According to Mr. Luc, this contest is a launching pad for contestants who are passionate about singing, because they not only get to express themselves and improve their knowledge, but after winning the prize, they will have the opportunity to perform in art programs produced by Diamond Media and Entertainment Group.

The preliminary round will take place in the 3 regions of North-Central-South from June 8 to June 15, opening up opportunities for contestants from 16-40 years old for light music, from 16-60 years old for bolero and folk music. The organizing committee will select 60 contestants to participate in the semi-finals (20 contestants for each music genre).

At the Semi-final Round taking place on July 6, the Organizing Committee selected the 24 best contestants of 3 music genres to attend the final night and award ceremony.

The Final Round is expected to be held on August 10, broadcast live on Voice of Vietnam Radio.

Regarding the award structure, the program has 15 official awards and 9 secondary awards. Each music genre will have one contestant awarded the Championship Prize, worth up to 600 million VND each./.
