Localities have scattered showers and thunderstorms

According to the forecast of Lao Cai Province's Hydrometeorological Station, tonight and tomorrow (April 30), localities in the province will be cloudy, with scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms at night and early morning, with some places experiencing moderate to heavy rain.

Tonight and tomorrow, due to the influence of the weakening continental high pressure combined with the southern edge of the low pressure trough with its axis at about 23 - 26 degrees North latitude, from the evening of April 30, this low pressure trough will be compressed and pushed southward, so the weather in localities in the province will be cloudy, with scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms at night and early morning, with some places having moderate to heavy rain, Southeast wind level 2, and cold in highlands and mountainous areas.

Specific weather forecast for localities in the province is as follows:

Low mountainous areas ( including Bao Yen, Bao Thang, Van Ban districts and some low-lying communes of Bat Xat and Muong Khuong districts) : Cloudy, with scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain, Southeast wind level 2, temperature from 22 ^o C to 28 ^o C, average humidity above 85%.

High mountainous areas ( including Bat Xat, Muong Khuong, and Si Ma Cai districts): Cloudy, with scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain, level 2 Southeast wind, cold at night and early morning, temperature from 17 ^degrees Celsius to 22 ^degrees Celsius, average humidity above 85%.

Lao Cai City : Cloudy, sometimes rain, showers and thunderstorms at night and early morning, Southeast wind level 2, temperature from 22 ^o C to 28 ^o C, average humidity above 85%.

Sa Pa tourist area : Cloudy, sometimes rainy, moderate rain and thunderstorms, Northeast wind level 2, cold, temperature from 14 ^o C to 17 ^o C, average humidity above 90%.

Bac Ha tourist area : Cloudy, sometimes rainy, showers and thunderstorms, Southeast wind level 2, cold at night and early morning, temperature from 17 ^o C to 22 ^o C, average humidity above 85%.

Warning: Localized heavy rains may cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes. Thunderstorms accompanied by whirlwinds, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind may affect agricultural production, cause trees to fall, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure .
