Youth Union organizations organize the 1st Congress and Conference of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, term 2025 - 2030

On October 30, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ha Giang 2 Ward held its first Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term. The Provincial Party Committee Office Youth Union held its first conference of Youth Union members for the 2025-2027 term.

Attending and directing the Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ha Giang 2 Ward   Comrade Vang Seo Con, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee of Ha Giang 2 Ward, was present, along with 120 outstanding delegates representing more than 1,300 youth union members throughout the ward.

Over the past period, the Youth Union work and youth movements in Ha Giang 2 ward have achieved many outstanding results. Ha Giang 2 ward has more than 6,000 Youth Union members, with 62 Youth Union branches and 12 affiliated teams. The movements "Youth Volunteers," "Creative Youth," and "Youth Vanguard in Protecting the Fatherland" have been widely implemented, attracting thousands of Youth Union members to participate. The entire ward has organized more than 100 volunteer sessions on environmental sanitation, tree planting, and supporting digital transformation. The "Saturday Volunteer Day" and "Sunday Green Day" movements are regularly maintained, contributing to building a civilized, green, clean, and beautiful urban area. 300 new Youth Union members were admitted, and 60 outstanding members were recommended to the Party for consideration for membership.

In his address to the Congress, Comrade Vang Seo Con, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ha Giang 2 Ward, acknowledged and praised the achievements and contributions of the ward's youth in the past period, while emphasizing: "The youth of Ha Giang 2 Ward need to continue to promote the spirit of unity, pioneering, courage, and creativity; constantly learn and train, uphold the aspiration to contribute practically to the construction of a civilized and modern Ha Giang 2 Ward; maintain their pioneering role and be a reliable reserve force of the Party."

The Congress adopted a Resolution for the 2025-2030 term with 10 key targets, including striving for 100% of union members to study the resolutions of the Party and the Youth Union annually; implementing at least 5 youth projects related to building a green, clean, beautiful, and smart city; and providing career counseling and guidance to 1,000 union members and young people each year.

The conference was an important political event, serving as a forum for young people from specialized agencies advising and assisting the Provincial Party Committee and the Party Committees of provincial Party agencies. At the conference, the Youth Union of the Provincial Party Committee Office summarized and evaluated the implementation of the Resolution of the Youth Union Congress for the 2024-2025 period; and discussed and set forth directions, goals, and tasks for the Youth Union's work and youth movement for the 2025-2027 term. Delegates contributed many opinions to the documents of the National Youth Union Congress and the draft documents of the higher-level Youth Union Congress; and contributed opinions on amending and supplementing the Charter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

During the 2024-2025 period, the Youth Union members of the Provincial Party Committee Office demonstrated a strong spirit of solidarity and unity in implementing a comprehensive range of propaganda, education, volunteer, and creative activities, tailored to the specific characteristics of the unit that advises and assists the Provincial Party Committee. The Youth Union members maintained their political stance, actively participated in professional tasks, and proposed and implemented numerous initiatives and solutions to improve the effectiveness of advisory services. For the 2025-2027 term, with the theme "Youth of the Provincial Party Committee Office: Unity - Revolution - Pioneering - Creativity - Development," the Youth Union of the Provincial Party Committee Office will continue to innovate and improve the quality of its organization and activities in a practical and effective manner, meeting the legitimate needs and aspirations of its members; and will be proactive, innovative, and creative in performing its professional duties and volunteering for the community. The Youth Union has set forth 12 specific targets, tasks, and solutions to successfully implement the Resolution.

At the conference, the decision of the Standing Committee of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union was announced regarding the appointment of the Executive Committee, Secretary, and Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Branch of the Provincial Party Committee Office for the first term, 2025-2027. Comrade Sung Minh Thanh was appointed as the Secretary of the Youth Union Branch of the Provincial Party Committee Office for the first term, 2025-2027.

The Congress announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the positions of Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Ward Youth Union for the first term, 2025–2030, along with the Inspection Committee and the delegation to attend the First Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Tuyen Quang province.

The Congress unanimously approved the decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ha Giang 2 Ward, term I, 2025-2030, consisting of 25 members, and also appointed the delegation to attend the upcoming Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Tuyen Quang Province. Accordingly, Comrade Nguyen Thi Mai Huong was re-elected to continue serving as Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ha Giang 2 Ward for the term 2025-2030.

* On October 30th, the Border Guard Command of Tuyen Quang province held a meeting to summarize the work of the Youth Union and youth movement during the 2022-2025 period and to implement tasks for the 2025-2030 period.

Overview of the conference.

During the period 2022-2025, the youth union work and youth movement of the Provincial Border Guard Command received attention and favorable conditions from the Party Committee, the Command, and the Party committees at all levels. The youth union cadres and members demonstrated a spirit of responsibility and initiative in fulfilling the task of protecting national territorial sovereignty and border security; actively participating in various activities and movements, maintaining internal unity and close military-civilian relations in border areas. A highlight was the emulation movement "Border Guard Youth Cultivating Virtue, Developing Talent, Taking the Lead, and Innovating for National Territorial Sovereignty and Border Security." The entire force participated in 4,124 unilateral and bilateral patrols with over 34,600 personnel, promptly detecting and handling violations of the law. 100% of youth union members participating in training achieved high quality results, with over 80% achieving good or excellent grades. On the internet, young border guards have posted and shared more than 2,100 news articles, photos, and other content, attracting over 1 million views and contributing to effectively combating false and hostile narratives.

In social welfare activities, the Youth Union of the Tuyen Quang Border Guard mobilized over 876 million VND and 3,605 man-days to support the construction and repair of 1,316 solidarity houses, with the total value of charitable programs reaching 2.8 billion VND. Models such as "Teacher in a military uniform," "Border Guard's scissors," "Borderland lessons," and "Lighting up the border region" were effectively maintained, spreading a positive image of border guards.

Furthermore, the youth of the Border Guard Force are also a pioneering force in disaster and disease prevention and control; actively participating in search and rescue operations. In their community outreach work, the youth branches organized 2,134 legal awareness sessions for nearly 87,000 people; maintaining over 10,000 hours of "Border Guard Loudspeaker" broadcasts, contributing to building a strong national border defense system.

With a spirit of sharing and responsibility, the youth of the Border Guard Command of the province effectively implemented the programs "Helping Children Go to School" and "Children Adopted by Border Guard Posts," supporting 1,048 students and adopting 48 children with a total budget of over 2.5 billion VND. In addition, the youth branches maintained 14 fraternal relationships with local youth organizations, organized 46 exchange activities and seminars, strengthening the solidarity between the military and the people and the friendship between the two sides of the border.

At the conference, delegates discussed and agreed on the direction and tasks for the 2025-2030 period, including: Continuing to promote the action slogan "Steadfast, courageous, intelligent, proactive, creative, and victorious," constantly training and contributing to building a strong national border defense system, firmly protecting the territorial sovereignty and border security of the country at the forefront of the Fatherland.
