Dismissed principal in Quang Binh for pawning school's red book

Mr. Mai Thanh Huyen, Principal of Chau Hoa Primary School No. 2 (Tuyen Hoa District, Quang Binh), has just been disciplined and dismissed for using the school's land use right certificate as collateral.

On November 24, the Department of Internal Affairs of Tuyen Hoa District ( Quang Binh ) announced that the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Hoa District had just signed Decision No. 2095/QD-UBND dated November 22, 2022 on disciplinary dismissal of Mr. Mai Thanh Huyen, Principal of Chau Hoa Primary School No. 2.

Accordingly, Mr. Mai Thanh Huyen was dismissed from his position for violating the rules that civil servants are not allowed to do, causing bad public opinion among cadres, civil servants, public employees and the people, reducing the reputation of the agency, organization and work unit.

Previously, in April 2022, public opinion reflected that Mr. Mai Thanh Huyen brought the school's land use right certificate to mortgage for money, because it was related to a large personal debt.

On October 3, the Inspection Committee of Tuyen Hoa District Party Committee announced the conclusion of the inspection when there were signs of violations against Mr. Mai Thanh Huyen. According to the conclusion of the Inspection Committee of Tuyen Hoa District Party Committee, Mr. Mai Thanh Huyen violated the regulations in borrowing and lending money from organizations and individuals; renting cars from others, using the school's seal in violation of regulations, using the Land Use Rights Certificate (also known as "red book") of Chau Hoa Primary School No. 2, and his own principal appointment decision to mortgage and borrow money, leading to the inability to pay the amount of 960 million VND.

With the responsibility of being the Party Cell Secretary and Principal of Chau Hoa Primary School No. 2 (Tuyen Hoa District, Quang Binh), Mr. Huyen failed to practice and maintain the moral qualities and lifestyle of a cadre and party member. Afterwards, the Standing Committee of Tuyen Hoa District Party Committee also took disciplinary action by removing Mr. Mai Thanh Huyen from the position of Party Cell Member and Party Cell Secretary of Chau Hoa Primary School No. 2, term 2020-2022.
