AI tool helps look up laws on the National Law Portal

In order to enhance the application of technology and digital transformation in the work of building, implementing, disseminating and educating the law, the Ministry of Justice has built the National Law Portal and officially launched it on May 31. Users can access the National Law Portal here.

This is an official channel created with the purpose of promptly, fully and accurately serving the need to look up legal information for people and businesses.

In addition, the National Law Portal also integrates an artificial intelligence chatbot, called AI Law, which allows users to look up laws quickly and easily by asking questions, as if talking to a real legal consultant.

Unlike search engines or AI chatbots developed by foreign companies, AI Phap Luat is managed and developed under the supervision of the Department of Legal Dissemination,Education and Legal Aid (under the Ministry of Justice), with a training database from the laws in Vietnam, so users can rest assured about the content provided by AI Phap Luat.

Currently, Law AI can help users with legal issues in 32 areas. With the goal of becoming a Legal Assistant, this tool is being further trained to expand its knowledge in many different legal areas.

How to look up laws, penalties for law violations... using AI chatbot on the National Law Portal

To use the AI chatbot tool to look up laws in Vietnam, you can follow these steps:

- First, access the AI chatbot website for law lookup at https://ai.phapluat.gov.vn/ . Users can access the website using both computers and smartphones.

- To use this AI chatbot tool, users need to log in or register a new account. In case you do not have a National Law Portal account, click the “Register” button, fill in your email address, personal information, password (no need to declare phone number), then click the “Register” button.

Wait a moment, an email will be sent from LuatVietNam, containing a link to activate the registered account. Click on the link attached in the email to confirm.

In case you do not see the email sent, you can check the "Spam" section of your mailbox because the email may have been filtered by mistake.

- After activating your account, return to the AI Phap Luat chatbot website, fill in your account login information to start using this AI tool.

- The usage of AI Law chatbot is similar to other common AI chatbots such as ChatGPT, Grok or Gemini... on the main interface of this tool, users just need to ask questions in Vietnamese to receive answers also in Vietnamese.

When giving an answer, Law AI will clearly cite the article or law related to the information the user is asking. You can click on the cited articles or laws to see more detailed information.

Notably, after providing detailed explanations of the articles and laws, this AI tool will also summarize its answers to help users grasp the most understandable answer to the question posed. This is suitable for ordinary users who do not have much knowledge of the law.
