The Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Civil and Industrial Works of Ho Chi Minh City has just announced the results of the selection of contractors for the Construction and Supply and Installation of Equipment Package; Demolition of Existing Works under the Youth Cultural House Construction Project.

Accordingly, the joint venture of Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC (CC1) - Construction JSC No. 5 - Group 202 JSC was selected to win the bid with a price of 1,979,884 billion VND, about 3% lower than the estimated price of 2,041,024 billion VND. The bid package is implemented in the form of a fixed unit price contract, with a construction period of 1,000 days.

The Project Management Board representative said that the investor and contractor are currently negotiating a contract to implement the next steps. After completion, the contractor will demolish the old items to hand over a clean site to serve the construction of the new project. The project is expected to start in December 2025.

According to VTC News Electronic Newspaper reporters, the Youth Cultural House is currently located on the most prime land in Ho Chi Minh City, with four frontages on major roads: Pham Ngoc Thach, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Hai Ba Trung and Nguyen Van Chiem.

For many years, this has been a familiar meeting and exchange place for young people and students with cultural, artistic, academic and volunteer activities.

In addition to the community function, the project campus also has a number of services such as a coffee shop and parking area to serve residents and generate additional income.

Thanks to its central location and open space, the Youth Cultural House is considered a familiar "meeting place" for the city's youth.

The project to build a new Youth Cultural House has a total investment of more than 2,240 billion VND from the city budget. The project is built right on the existing campus at 4 Pham Ngoc Thach, with a land area of more than 14,344 m².

According to the approved design, the project consists of 25 floors, including 4 basements and 21 above ground floors. The height to the roof top reaches 84.15 m. The investment in modern infrastructure and the arrangement of many new functional spaces are expected to help this place become a multi-activity center for culture, education and creativity of the city. The project also aims to meet the standards of city-level public works, serving major events for youth, street art activities, exhibitions, seminars and open creative spaces.

According to the plan, the entire project will be implemented in the period of 2025 - 2028, ensuring that the construction process does not greatly affect activities in the city center area. The new Youth Cultural House not only inherits the role of being associated with many generations of Ho Chi Minh City youth but is also expected to become one of the new cultural symbols of the special urban area.

The completed space of the project will expand the ability to organize large-scale cultural programs, while creating more experiential environments for young people through career, sports , arts, technology and innovation activities.

The investment in this project is of great significance in the cultural development strategy of Ho Chi Minh City, in line with the orientation of building large-scale, modern cultural institutions to accompany young people in the new period. The project is being urgently completed by the investor and related units to ensure the progress of construction by the end of 2025, aiming to put the project into operation in 2028.
The Youth Cultural House - a unit under the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union - was established in 1975 on land adjacent to central roads such as Pham Ngoc Thach, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Hai Ba Trung and Nguyen Van Chiem.
For nearly half a century of operation, this place has become a familiar meeting place for young people with about 5 million people coming to participate in activities and study each year. However, the number of activities has increased sharply over time, causing the system of works to gradually become unable to meet the growing needs of the city's youth.
