Warning about acts of defrauding customers on behalf of electricity employees

Recently, Phu Tho Electricity Company has received many reports from customers about fraudulent acts through instructions on installing the Customer Service App to notify of electricity debt and threats of power cut.

Faced with the above situation, Phu Tho Electricity Company recommends to customers:

Do not deposit money into the personal account of anyone claiming to be an electricity employee. All current electricity bill collection transactions have been done through official channels, absolutely do not use personal accounts to collect money.

Encourage customers to choose safe electricity payment channels via: Banks (automatic payment, Internet banking or Mobile banking); e-wallets and online payment gateways ( Viettel Money; VNPT Money; Vnpay, Momo...)

Be vigilant, do not follow the instructions of impersonators or fake documents; do not let scammers steal personal information for personal gain, causing damage to customers and affecting the reputation of Phu Tho Electricity. Be vigilant with requests to install software. When using the phone, users must absolutely not click on links received via text messages; do not install applications of unknown origin via links or Apk files. If receiving a suspected scam call, customers should immediately contact the customer care hotline (number 19006769) to verify the information and receive timely support.
