Dong Xuan commune prohibits people from crossing two flooded bridges.

According to information from Dong Xuan commune, since the afternoon of November 17, due to prolonged heavy rain, the water level on Ky Lo and Co rivers has risen, causing Song Co bridge and Cay Sung bridge in Xuan Son Bac commune (old) to be flooded from 0.4 to 0.5 m, at alert level 2, posing many dangers to people and vehicles passing by.

Mr. Huynh Tuan An, Chairman of Dong Xuan Commune People's Committee, said: "Faced with the above situation, the local government has assigned forces to be on duty, set up barriers, warning signs and not allowed people to move through the two bridges to ensure safety; at the same time, guided vehicles to change direction to other routes."

Dong Xuan Commune assigned forces to be on duty at Cay Sung bridge to prevent people and vehicles from passing.

At the same time, Dong Xuan Commune People's Committee also issued a document implementing the Official Dispatch No. 007/CD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee on proactively responding to heavy rains, floods, inundation, landslides and flash floods in the area. The Commune People's Committee requested agencies, departments and People's Committees of villages to closely monitor the developments of rains and floods, give early warnings of the risk of flash floods and landslides; proactively prepare plans to evacuate people from dangerous areas; protect production, houses and properties, be ready to evacuate people, and provide urgent information to raise people's vigilance.

The commune also requested to organize forces on duty, control traffic, put up warning signs at underground points, spillways, and areas with rapid water flow; prepare forces, vehicles, equipment, and essential supplies according to the "4 on-site" motto to be ready to respond to all situations, ensure safety, and suit the actual situation. At the same time, mobilize forces to be ready to participate in the work of preventing, fighting, responding to, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters when required.

The People's Committee of Dong Xuan commune also requested people to limit travel, not to intentionally cross areas with deep, fast-flowing water; proactively stock up on necessities, protect property, reinforce houses; and immediately notify the authorities when detecting incidents or dangerous situations related to floods.
