On the morning of August 29, the meteorological agency recorded scattered showers and thunderstorms in many places in the Central Highlands and the South, with some places experiencing heavy rain such as: Mo Rai station (Quang Ngai) 92.8mm, Ho Da Den (HCMC) 59.6mm, Yang Nam ( Gia Lai ) 51mm.

It is forecasted that from this evening and tonight until the end of August 30, the rain will continue to expand and increase in intensity. The midland and northern delta regions, along the strip of land from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang, will have moderate to heavy rain, with common amounts of 70-150mm, and in some places over 300mm.
Particularly in the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue, heavy to very heavy rain is forecast, with average rainfall of 120-250mm, and in some places it may exceed 450mm. Other areas such as the North, from Quang Ngai to Lam Dong and the South continue to have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with average rainfall of 10-30mm, and in some places over 80mm.
On August 31, heavy rain continued in the North and Central Central regions, with common 3-day accumulated rainfall: North and from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang: 100-200mm, some places over 400mm; From Thanh Hoa to Hue: 150-350mm, some places may exceed 600mm.
High risk warning: According to experts, this is a dangerous, widespread heavy rain event with high potential overall risk.
The North Central region, especially from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri, is at risk of flash floods on rivers and small streams, and landslides in mountainous areas and steep slopes.
The Northern Delta , large cities such as Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang, and industrial zones face the risk of serious flooding if heavy rain continues.
Road and rail traffic in the Central region is at risk of congestion due to flooding and landslides.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting recommends that people and local authorities closely monitor weather reports, proactively take preventive measures, and ensure the safety of people and property.
