Jay Idzes is of interest to AC Milan.

According to Sky Sports Italy , the red-black team highly appreciates the rapid progress of the 25-year-old center-back and considers him the type of player suitable for the modern tactical requirements of coach Max Allegri.

Although there have been no official negotiations between Milan and Sassuolo, the "Rossoneri" are said to have agreed to continue to closely monitor him in the coming time. The source revealed that Milan is particularly impressed with Idzes's dynamic playing style. He can play in all three positions in a three-man defense system.

Interest from Milan was fueled by Idzes' impressive run in Serie A. Having joined Sassuolo in the summer of 2025, he quickly became a standout player thanks to his strong play, good reading of situations and ability to progress the ball from the back.

This season, the Indonesian captain started 12/13 matches in Serie A, helping Sassuolo to 10th place with 17 points. Idzes's speed of adaptation has made many experts rate him as one of the interesting discoveries of the season.

Born and raised in the Netherlands, Idzes represented the "Orange Storm" youth teams before deciding to become naturalized in Indonesia - the homeland of his grandparents. He made his debut for the Indonesian national team in March 2024 and played a key role in the "Tim Garuda" defense.

Indonesia currently has many quality players playing in the top 5 European leagues. Right-back Kevin Diks and goalkeeper Emil Audero are also pillars of Monchengladbach (Bundesliga) and Cremonese (Serie A) respectively.
