Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), Kongsak Yodmanee, called on Thai fans to register for tickets to watch the opening match of Thailand U.23 against Timor Leste at 7 p.m. on December 3, ignoring the complaint of the 'Ultras Thailand' fan group.

SAT unchanged, U.23 Thailand loses home stadium support

SAT Governor Kongsak Yodmanee confirmed that Thai fans must register, enter their phone number to receive a QR code and get tickets to watch the men's football matches of the 33rd SEA Games. Among them, there is the opening match of the host U.23 Thailand in Group A.

However, as of the morning of December 3, according to Siamsport , there were still many tickets left to watch matches at Rajamangala Stadium.

Previously, a famous Thai football fan group called "Ultras Thailand" announced their decision to boycott the 33rd SEA Games, protesting the organizing committee's regulations on tickets and the requirement to register personal information.

The group is demanding that SAT change the way it registers for football tickets "because the impact on personal information violates the basic freedoms of sports spectators", as well as remove the arrangement of away team fans in the stands behind the goal.

However, SAT has not changed its procedures so far. Mr. Kongsak Yodmanee affirmed: "Thai fans must register, enter their phone number to receive a QR code and get tickets, including tickets to watch the opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games at Rajamangala Stadium on December 9."

Accordingly, fans can register for up to 10,000 seats through the website seagames2025.org to enter Rajamangala Stadium to watch the opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games, Siamsport said.

According to Mr. Kongsak Yodmanee, the organization of the tournament, specifically the men's football competition, is stable and 100% ready. He has also consulted with various sports associations and together surveyed the stadiums according to the standards of international sports federations. Accommodation has been fully arranged. Meanwhile, Bangkok and Chonburi have been widely promoting the tournament.

Mr. Kongsak Yodmanee also said that after the 33rd SEA Games organizing committee had to move the competition venues from Songkhla due to flooding to Bangkok and Chonburi, many sports are now ready, and information will be updated on the website and various platforms, allowing fans to book free tickets to watch the competitions.
